How To: Help patients record their side effects

Monitoring the side effects of treatment is very important for both patients and healthcare professionals. Being informed and having honest and open conversations about treatment side-effects helps patients get the best medicine for them.

Side effects can be minor, moderate, or severe: tracking them is essential. The Side-effects Treatment Tracker in Your Health Companion is quick and easy to complete, covers a range of side-effects and allows patients to choose how often record them.

Please remind patients that their information stored within the digital diary is not automatically shared with you/their clinical team, and if they experience any severe side effects, they must contact their clinical team immediately.

To help your patients start using the Side-effects Treatment Tracker, ask them to open the app and login and follow the simple steps below. Please note, instructions are also available within the app.
